HARU Sushi Bar and Restaurant Kapitolyo

Oinks:

We've been wanting to eat at Haru for years and years but parking is always impossible. Finally one Tuesday night we got lucky.

It was love at first sight. The same whimsical, eclectic style of Cafe Juanita is visibly seen in Haru. Both are owned by Dr. Boy Vasquez. During the early days of Cafe Juanita we often got to talk to Dr. Boy as he would personally ask guests how they liked their food.

Kani Mango Salad (P240.00)

Dobin Mushi (P140.00) Authentic Japanese mushroom and seafood clear soup in clay pot.

Mami ordered this soup for us because it's her favorite. And after one sip, I completely understood why. The broth was so clean and flavorful. The clay pot presentation was also unique and so cute.

After drinking all the clear soup, inside is some shitake mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, squid and fish. Really so good.

 Crazy Roll (P188.00)

US Beef Rib Eye Gyuniku (P598.00)

And the star of the night...

Grilled Hamachi Head (P400/100g)

It was fresh and no hint of lansa. I literally ate it with my hands. Simot sarap. This is 200g.

Ebi Tempura (P278.00)

I've been craving for Uni for the longest time so when Mami asked if we want to try something else, even though I know for sure I will be the only one eating this I ordered Uni Tempura (P295.00).

 Blueberry Cheesecake for Lex

Crepe Samurai for this little piggy.

Creme Brule for Mami.

 But we all shared. :)

And our take out...
